The Requirement

The clients main goal was to transform the outdated and cramped bathroom into a spacious, light-filled sanctuary that felt both practical and luxurious. By combining two smaller rooms into one, they wanted to make better use of the space and create a layout that worked for their everyday needs while still feeling like a retreat. Natural light was a priority, so adding a new window in the shower area was essential, as was ensuring the room felt open and uncluttered. They asked for clever storage solutions, including a bespoke cupboard to discreetly hide the boiler, and wanted a modern, timeless design with character. Overall, their brief was to achieve a calm, elegant bathroom that balanced style, comfort, and functionality, and added real value to their home.

“After extending our property the bathroom became disproportionate and disconnected from the new layout of the house. We wanted to combined two rooms to inceease the bathroom size .”

Our Solution

This beautifully transformed bathroom is the result of carefully reconfiguring the original layout to create a brighter, more spacious, and highly functional retreat. By combining two separate rooms into one, we were able to significantly increase the overall footprint, allowing for a more open and luxurious design. A key feature of the space is the striking botanical hexagon tile, which brings texture, depth, and a sense of calm nature-inspired elegance throughout the room. This statement tiling is perfectly balanced with clean white sanitaryware and sleek, contemporary fittings, creating a timeless yet modern aesthetic. To enhance both practicality and flow, a bespoke cupboard was designed and installed to the right of the shower. This cleverly conceals the boiler while providing discreet storage, ensuring the room remains visually uncluttered without compromising functionality. A new window was introduced within the shower area to maximise natural light, transforming what was once a darker space into a bright and inviting environment. This addition not only improves ventilation but also enhances the overall sense of openness. The finished space features a spacious walk-in shower, a freestanding bath for relaxation, and a double vanity unit with wall-mounted taps, offering both style and everyday convenience. Warm wood-effect flooring adds contrast and warmth, grounding the design and tying the whole scheme together. Overall, this project showcases how thoughtful planning, bespoke solutions, and high-quality finishes can completely redefine a bathroom, turning it into a refined and tranquil sanctuary.
